L'Aorta és l'artèria que porta la sang des del cor a tot el cos. L'aorta transmet vida al cos, moviment i sensacions. Aortae (aortes) són melodies sortides del cor que van a parar a tot al cos convertint-se en estímuls sensorials.

Aortae és el nom del nou disc del saxofonista Albert Carrique que conté vuit originals, arranjats a mida per un sextet format per músics destacats de l'escena actual, que han interpretat la seva música deixant també la seva petjada.

Melodies sentides, primitives i naturals que ens deixen entreveure el talent d'aquest jove saxofonista que transita amb facilitat entre el free, el jazz contemporani i la tradició del bop.

The Aorta is the artery which carries blood from the heart to the rest of the body. The Aorta transmits life, movement and sensation. Aortae are melodies coming from the heart to become experienced as sensations.

Aortae is the title of the new disc by saxofonist Albert Carrique - eight originals arranged especially for a sextet of leading musicians, each of which has left their own personal imprint.

Emotive, primitive and natural melodies which reveal the talent of this young artist, moving easily through free, contemporary and traditional bop.
