Noninó es va enregistrar en directe a l'Estival de Jazz d'Igualada 2015, en que Toni Vaquer va rebre La Carta Blanca per part de l'Estival Igualadí.

Totes les composicions que formen part del disc són material inèdit que Vaquer va compondre el mes anterior al enregistrament pensant en els músics que l'acompanyarien. "...Intento composar quelcom que tots els músics que toquen amb mi els faci trempera..."

Acompanyat per un sextet de luxe, les peçes que formen part d'aquest disc són plenes de força i de la coherència que nomes tenen els grans talents com Vaquer.
