A The Call from de past Roger Mas es retroba amb els seus antics companys Tom Warburton i Marc Ayza després d'haver treballat plegats anteriorment en el trio liderat pel baterista Marc Ayza.

En aquesta ocasió és ell qui assumeix el lideratge d’aquest grup per enregistrar aquest disc que és el punt de reunió per reprendre el viatge començat ara fa deu anys.

Roger Mas és un dels pianistes més destacats de la seva generació i és també un prolífic compositor, prova d'això són els deu originals que formen part d'aquest disc on Mas desplega el seu univers musical aquest cop al servei d'un trio incombustible de vells coneguts que mantenen intacta la seva complicitat.

The Call from de past compta amb la col·laboració especial de la cantant Laia Cagigal que aporta la seva meravellosa veu a quatre de les composicions que formen part d'aquest treball, el complement perfecte per un disc que confirma la gran trajectòria d'aquest trio.

The Call from the Past finds Roger Mas reunited with his former band mates Tom Warburton and Marc Ayza. The three had previously recorded together as a trio lead by drummer Marc Ayza. On this disk, it is Roger who takes the lead of the trio to continue the voyage begun 10 Years ago.

Roger Mas is one of the most remarkable pianists of his generation and he is also a prolific composer, as shown by the 10 original compositions on this disk which show off Mas’s musical universe in the ideal setting; the blazing trio of old friends who show they still maintain all their musical rapport.

The Call from the Past includes a special guest appearance by singer Laia Cagigal who lends her wonderful voice to four of the compositions, a perfect complement to a disk that confirms the great trajectory of this trio.
